Frequently Asked Questions:
HOW MUCH DO LESSONS COST?
We will brave the Chicago traffic and weather to bring you in-home lessons. For half hour lessons (recommended for children under 8), the monthly tuition is $175 and a full hour is $255. Payment can be made via check or PayPal.
We believe that all people should have access to music, and so we do provide free or reduced-cost lessons, based on income qualification. For more information on this, send us an email at info@hydeparkschoolofmusic.org.
WHAT DO YOU LEARN IN YOUR MUSIC LESSONS?
We do not treat every student the same in terms of what and how we teach.
For example, a young child having their first guitar lesson will have very different needs than an adult taking up accordion for the 2nd time after having had lessons previously.
We want to get to know you on a personal level and to become familiar with your personal musical needs and goals.
WHAT STYLES OF MUSIC DO YOU TEACH?
We teach all styles including Rock, Folk, Pop, Country, R&B, Hip-Hop, Metal, Jazz, Blues, Funk, Gospel, Classical and Electronic Music.
WHAT ARE THE AVAILABLE HOURS FOR LESSONS?
